Worship

Why do we worship? What is worship? What makes worship important?

Communal worship is an integral part of who we are as Christians. We believe that worship is not something we attend or observe, but something we engage in and something that molds us. By gathering with other people in our family of faith, by hearing and thinking about Scripture lessons, by practicing gratitude and praising the goodness of God, by professing creeds and singing songs, by spending time in prayer, by practicing hospitality and generosity, we can come to know and grow closer to God, grow closer to each other and to all our neighbors, learn more about our faith, and be encouraged to go out and serve. For these reasons, worship is very important to living into the life God has called us into and preparing us to be people of God in the world.

Communal worship prioritizes togetherness, authenticity, hope, and transformation over time.

There is no prerequisite for coming to worship. Everyone is welcome to take part in communal worship and see what we do, even if they are just exploring and checking things out.
