Sunday School

During the hour between worship services (10-11am) there are a variety of different opportunities for us to grow closer to God and to one another. Pick out one that sounds like a good fit for you and join us!

Seasonal Groups

During the Sunday School hour, we offer discipleship groups that meet for a set number of weeks at a time and rotate subjects, teachers, and members. In the past, we have had seasonal women’s groups, prayer studies, book studies, and so on. This is a time to discuss and grow together without long-term commitment.

Check our Facebook page, Chimes newsletters, or contact us for updates about what exactly is coming up so you can mark your calendar and get signed up if necessary!

For examples, check out the posters below from our recent seasonal groups (Fall 2023 and Lent 2024).

Year-round Classes

We currently have two Sunday School classes that meet continually throughout the year. Both are always open to everyone!

Joy Class

The Joy Class meets in our main building each week and discusses United Methodist devotional curriculum. It is led by retired pastor, Susie Knedlik. Reach out to revsook@gmail.com for more!

Conversation Time in the Parlor

The Parlor in our main building is open each week for friendly fellowship and intentional conversation. This is a great option for people looking for a laid back, open-ended time to check in with and get to know other ELUMC folks. There isn’t a schedule or curriculum, but there might be some fun activities, brief devotionals, or conversation starter questions for the week. You can stroll in after 10am, no problem. Reach out to elumccomm@gmail.com for more!

Your Class!

We are always open to talk about new Sunday School opportunities, whether they are year-round classes or seasonal groups. If you’re interested in getting something started, reach out to elumccomm@gmail.com!

If opportunities for growth such as these speak to you, consider giving to our Love for Learning Fund, which helps cover costs associated with group materials and makes sure ALL can participate!
